FACILITIES AT MESMEAR
TAKE A DIP
Only a stones throw from your cottage!
Our lovely 12 metre outdoor heated swimming pool is available between May and October. Complete with sun loungers and parasols it is a perfect place for to relax and enjoy the sun. Our collection of floats, swimming aids, water pistols and inflatables mean there are plenty of toys for the kids to enjoy too.
Not feeling the heat? Then jump into our 7 seater hot tub, available all year round, and let the pace of everyday life melt away. Great in the summer, but even better for those winter breaks!
For safety both the swimming pool and the hot tub are enclosed within a gated area accessible with a code.
We know it is great to feel good on the inside and out!
The gym is available for use 24 hours a day. It has a full weights machine, free weights, wrist and ankle weights, a heavy bag and speed ball (gloves and hand wraps included), an exercise bike, a rowing machine, swiss balls, ab wheel, and pilates equipment with reformer (private and group classes and sessions are available on request with our onsite Body Control Pilates Instructor). There are some speakers for you to hook up your MP3 player to listen to your favourite tunes while you work out.
The gym also houses our table tennis table for your use, as well as our extensive DVD library for when the weather is not on our side!
With its own garden games room and zip line
A stroll down past the pigs and the hens will bring you down into our orchard. As well as being home to our different variates of apple, plum, and pear trees, there is also a zip-wire that goes from the top of the orchard to the tree house – a favourite with little kids and big kids!
Our orchard tree house on stilts houses an air-hockey table and table football, along with an outside seating area. It’s a perfect little hideaway!
Enjoy the friendly animals
We dare you to come to Mesmear and not go away without missing our pigs! From Famous Boris’ smile …..(he was featured at Twickenham don’t you know!) , Ginger Gary’s long eye lashes, Priscilla’s amazing scent for all things food related to our beloved (slightly odd) Frankie with one eye, flappy ears and as deaf as a post……….we have not known a guest leave without knowing all their names and boasting that they have managed to topple a pig just by tickling it.
As far as our feathered friends and concerned , Vicki keeps a regimented cluster of hens which are ever so friendly. We encourage children to go in and collect eggs for their breakfast. An eggselent addition to every farm holiday.
SURF & SUP
